Krekoviæ's exibition in Viena, 1957, was held in the former Royal palace Neue Hofburg, in Museum vor Völkerkunde. Organized under the auspices of the Government of Peru, opened by the Peruvian ambassador in Austria, the exhibition was visited by the then Austrian president Dr. Adolf Schaerf.

Krekoviæ was the only foreigner with the privilege to have the whole floor of the Hofburg palace in Viena at his disposal. Ankowiz - Kleehoven, historian of art who at that time was very old and many years before that predicted him a brilliant artistic career, brought him a copy of his old published article in which he announced that the name of Krekoviæ should be remembered.
