It is very important to mention the 1st donators of our artists and sculptures: Ivan Milat, Ćiril Boanar, Ivan Nemet, Zlatko Nežić, Ivica Špoljar, Tomislav Pavletić, Izidor Žiga Popijač, Kornelija Nazor, Nenad Petronijo and numerous others donators. Especially segnificant donation by profesor doctor Antun Bauer and his wife dr. Antonije Bauer, at a total of 350 art pieces. Profesor Bauer gives a lot of attention to the gallery, which in many ways contributes to the outstanding reputation of the contents o fthe castle. Above all we have to mention the chapel of st Peter's belonging, which firstly we we must thank the donation of monsenior Marko Celuj, bishop of Varaždin, the cardinal dr. Franjo Kuhrić, because with his donation the chapel was enriched with the 18th century candle stands, picture of Jesus giving keys to St Peter from 1713, a beautiful tabernacle with rotating base, and the cup from the workshop of the great medallist Ivan Kerdić. Stations of the cross from Italy is a special and permanent part of the chapel. We should also mention that there are hundreds and hundreds of photos thanks to Branko Brce, Đuro Radman and others. The musical saloon of Đuro Prejac holds his memories and original work. There is a historical collection of the family Ratkaj, which was set up by Milovan Petković, which reminds us of three full centuries, which this noble family ruled. The first and permanent set of work by Oton Iveković who lived in the castle from 1919 to 1935 is also present. Here he was inspired with romantic period of Croatian history: "Dolazak Hrvata na Jadran", " Smrt kralja Petra Svačića" … |
